Yo tengo tu love

So I woke up to a guy taking the door to my room off...random, huh?  My mom had told me that the doors were all getting taken off so that they could be repainted, but I didn't realize that I would still be at home for this, let alone still asleep in my room as a guy took off both my doors. :)  It was comical.  The guy opened the door to my room and I just looked up (and obviously I only saw a blurry figure because I am blind without glasses) and he said "Excuse me, I'm sorry" and I replied, "It's fine" and I laid back down as he disassembled two of my doors. :)  Also, it was like ten minutes before my alarm went off, too, so you know when that happens you have to sleep 15 extra minutes. :)  Don't worry though, I wasn't late or anything, because I had already set my alarm early because I had a few errands I needed to run, like getting my Spanish book at the library.  Which by the way, it's 200 pages!  Whoops, I probably should've left more time to read it, but it looks pretty interesting so maybe it will be fast.  I'm already on page 13, too.  Granted it starts on page 9. :)

Anyway, I had ballet today, unfortunately there was no Disney music to entertain me. :(  However, today was definitely a workout.  We did a lot of jumping today, which I didn't really realize until tonight.  I was walking home and trying to figure out why my legs hurt so much and then I realized that we really did do a lot of jumping!  It's all good though it means I'm getting a good workout, right? :)  Anyway, tonight I went to Deporte y Vida, too.  I had Daniel as a driver again, so my plan to read a little failed, but that's okay because I got some practice speaking and listening to Spanish.

Anyway, Deporte y Vida was okay today.  I'm pretty sure the kids all ate crazy food today because that's how they were acting, but it's okay, they are just kids.  I really did have to tell them to stop hitting each other a thousand times though.  But anyway, I did some coloring today.  We colored some fruits and learned the English word for them.  And I learned that kids have no concept of age.  One kid told me he thought that I was 26 years old. :)  Also, when did we learned about multiplication and division and when did we start geometry and trigonometry?  This is a serious question, if you remember, I want to know because there were second graders there doing mulitplication/division and a 5th grader doing geometry/trigonometry.  Now, from what I remember, I'm off by like three years, so yeah, I'm really curious.  Anyway, I also learned the way that they do division.  They set it up differently.  So when they first asked me for help, I was looking at something that was foreign to me (literally).  I had to ask the other professor was it was and then I figured it out.  Oh, which by the way, I was called Andreita again today.  Now, obviously this isn't going to change, but it really does make me smile everytime I hear it, so I'm probably just going to keep telling you every week. :)  Anyway, another thing that happened was that a girl was BEGGING me to sing our National Anthem.  Now, I don't like singing for people anyway, let alone THAT song.  It's a hard so to sing!  And I was not about to sing it to a room full of people.  I felt a little bad for not singing it, because she literally was hanging on me and begging me.  She actually choked me a little from hanging on me, to be honest. :)  Anyway, I was going to play her a video on the computer of it, but I never got the chance to.  Anyway, I have a few pictures to share with you from Deporte y Vida...

Me with some students
Okay, so on the way home Daniel didn't talk so much, which is bad for my Spanish practice, but he played the radio instead which I also like listening, too.  I've been trying to learn some songs here and there are actually a lot that I like.  One that I heard tonight is really fun, so I am going to put it up for you.  It's fun because number one, it just has cute lyrics and number two, because it is in Spanglish.  See if you can pick out the English words. :)  It's called "Yo tengo tu love" by Sie7e.
Okay, once I got back to Miraflores, I went to the store to pick up cancha, oreos, and water for the weekend. :)  Oh, by the way, I'm going to the jungle this weekend, but I'll get back to that soon.  Anyway, I always pass by this casino and right now they have fun Halloween decorations up, so I took a picture to share with you. :)

Pumpkins, Bats, and Ghosts!
Anyway, yea, I'm going to the selva this weekend.  We're traveling to Iquitos.  Iquitos is the largest city in the world that is not accessible by road.  You have to take a plane or travel by river to get there.  I'm leaving tomorrow morning at about 5:30 a.m.  Should be a fun trip!  I still haven't packed.  I don't really know what to pack.  I guess a lot of bug spray and long sleeved shirts and pants ..and no deoderant, shampoo, lotion, or anything else that might make me smell like bug food. :)  Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I can't wait to show you my Amazon pictures and tell you about the wonderful weekend that I'm about to have!!!  Buenas!
